The Fraunhofer ISST is located in Dortmund in the Ruhr area. During the age of coal and steel, the Ruhr was the largest industrial region in Europe. It has since undergone a massive transformation, with culture, science and technology taking the reins. With the next big economical and social change underway – the digital transformation – we decided to bring the past and the future together, filming at the coal-mine-turned-museum, Zeche Zollern.
